Nice SF: Baker def. Davydenko 6-7(5) 6-4 6-2

This match was pure "School of Return". Both players terrorized their opponent with crazy returns all match long. I think there were 13 breaks of serve throughout the game and breaking to love or from 30-0 was not rare at all.

Baker made some great points starting the middle of the 2nd set and all the way to the end.

T'was a fun game to watch, Bakerwagon gained another passenger

Baker would have made me lose so much if I were betting this week. Every win just adds to the most miraculous comeback that I've ever witnessed when you factor in all that should have kept him out of this game. What a week!

The story continues....

Don't give him much chance against Almagro but hopefully he will have more opportunities in the future.

What an amazing comeback from a set and a break down when everyone already thought he would be too tired to do it. Great fighting spirit and his hunger for the game is obvious. Would be a great day for tennis if he managed to beat Almagro tomorrow, but that's really not likely.

He certainly is making a 250 the week before a major almost relevant.

Agree. However, Baker could lose 0 and 0 tomorrow and it would still be one of the most magical weeks on the main tour that we've ever witnessed considering that he hadn't played in an ATP level event in 7 years and came through qualies here as well.
