Re: Biggest walking Bye at Roland Garros?

Then you have guys like Ungur, Querrey, Machado, Souza, Bolelli, DGT, Kamke, Gulbis, Baghdatis, Benneteau (health reasons only), Llodra, Falla, Rochus, Malisse, Stebe, Mahut, Lorenzi who all are ultra winnable matches but good enough where they aren't matches where a W is immediately put on the scorecard.

All in all, the draw is weak and there are going to be surprise runs. I think Andujar and maybe someone like Rosol (again) can have big runs here. I think Nalbandian can make a big run here with the correct draw.

i agree. I could easily see a gabashvili like run in 2009 when he made the 4th round..and i could see it happening for more than 1 qualifier with the right draws. There will be qualifiers like goffin, zopp, bedene and kuznetsov licking their lips at the thought of getting in. With this kind of weakened draw i think we may see a few guys break into the top 100 if they get in.

Re: Biggest walking Bye at Roland Garros?

If you're a player facing a seed, your best options are Roddick and Troicki. I'd also throw in Granollers, due to his history at Slams.

If you're a seeded player, good players to face are: Young, Bogomolov, Blake, Gulbis, Pospisil, Dancevic.

Andy Murray: 2012 Olympic gold and silver medalist. US Open Champ. Wimbledon champ. Never been prouder of him.

The Brian Baker Story. Proof that truth is stranger than fiction... until Hollywood buys the rights and proceeds to keep screwing the script up.

Gaba made the fourth round in 2010 from qualifying, in fact. I think someone like Bedene could do that, Delbonis. The youngsters both in qualifying and in the MD definitely have great opportunities to make a name for themselves at this event. In fact about half of the likely qualifiers are better than 25% or so of the MD players.

Melzer is not 100%. He's also not in good form.

Donald young - has a 2-12 match record on the season and clay is his worst surface on top of this

Cedrik marcel-stebe - Clay is supposed to be his best surface but he's barely won matches this season at this level

Andy roddick - terrible on the surface, been obliterated by both opponents he's played this week so confidecne will be low

Alex Bogmolov - Really looking like last season was a fluke

Viktor troicki - steadily regressing as a player. has been bad all year but gotten wins with kind draws

Nikolay Davydenko - this one hurts. He has lost all momentum he had when he took the time off though

sergiy stakhovsky - really having an awful season, doesnt seem like he can beat anyone

Ernests gulbis - this one hurts too. Just no confidence right now

Philipp petzschner - been playing crap all year

James blake - didnt look to good in his match this week and clay isnt his best surface

simone bolelli - hasnt really done much this year aside from 2 or 3 good weeks

frank dancevic - hasnt played a match in a while and clay is his worst surface
Uncle Toni says thank you for the list.
