Rome R2: Granollers def. [WC] Fognini 6-3 6-4

Pretty hilarious match. Extremely disappointing performance from the Italian overall. You just never know what to expect from Fabio. The way he saved 0-40 at 3-4 and three MPs at 4-5 was awesome to watch, his shotmaking talent and how he went for the winners on such crucial points, but then lost serve to lose the match anyway with easy errors. But that's part of his charm.

Marcel stayed mostly solid, served well, and that's all which was required.

The Fog didn't try AT ALL today . Only while saving the first three matchpoints, which were some of the best points of the tournament.

Probably got tired of Granollers' GOAT grunt.

Fog was hilariously in and out today.

Granollers the steadier, more secure, but his tactical grunting, which gets epically loud, is seriously annoying.

Hilarious from Fog. Too bad we have to watch (and hear) Granollers for one more match here.

The grunting was off putting, especially in the 1st, c'mon Marcel, this isn't the WTA where you need to resort to being loud to win.

Marcel is really annoying. His grunt is even the worse than Azarenka's and Pova's combined.
The Fog was awful sadly but he produced some great shots here and there.

Someone check Granollers' testosterone levels asap, this is getting seriously alarming.

Granollers grunting and time wasting his way to victory. I guess Fognini is one of the players that can't really complain about gamesmanship though.

I matches like these, where Granollers isn't rushing the net, he really is the most boring player on tour to watch.

he grunts on every shot, even when he pushes a lame shot...and tries to make it seem like he used a lot of effort.
