Decent match, good fun. Handful of silly errors and flashy winners from both.

Movement is Tomic's weakness. My son is a better mover than this clumsy one. Maybe he will get better??

Nole looking good Some sloppy play when he got broken, but other than that pretty good, much better than MC and Madrid

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Tomic can hardly wait to get off this pottery junk. The real question is can he beat Djokovic if they play at Wimbledon in a couple months.

Of course. But it's much better on hard and grass.

Tomic's forehand is laughable. He'll never reach the top of the game if that stroke doesn't change...he faces the same fate as Andy Mugray.

That's the gospel.

The #1 moved fairly well. He looks good to the final.

Current Number 1 vs Future Number one. Tomic has loads of things to learn about the game still.

Tomic ain't gonna be #1, win a major, or even be top 10, unless he changes alot about his mentality and game, guy hasn't even won a 250 yet.

Re: Rome R2: Djokovic rebuffs Tomic 6-3, 6-3

I actually think that Novak was hitting the ball pretty nicely in Madrid but was having a lot of problems with the movement and the court being too slippery. Everything going back to normal now, a nice match to start the title defence still playing some points passively for my liking but have a feeling he'll be better with each round
Btw, will Novak ever learn to smash properly?

Nole was just toying with Tomic, pretty much. OK, I shouldn't talk about youngsters again but they are just .... (you insert the word)
