How I wish the alternate week theory is wrong, but it's not... Rainer loses 2 Lopez!

Did I mention how Schuettler likes to win some matches one week and get eliminated the next week?

Well, thank goodness for him this week is the winning week and he advances to the second round!!!

He won 6-3,6-4 against Nadal!!! I dun know about what you guys think, but I personally think it's a spectacular win since Nadal ain no pushover!!!

From the draw, unless he does some serious choking, i think he should be able to advance to the quarterfinals and that's when the real test begins. Can he win a top 5 player like David?

Anyway, good luck and go go go!!!

Today, he won against Chiudinelli 76 62!! Go Rainer!! Win the QFinals too!!

Don't be deceived by the rankings!! Coria, Roddick, Mirnyi, Schuettler, Fish, Safin, Henman, Tursunov, Ljubicic, Bovina, Li Na, Ivanovic, Chan YJ, Dementieva, Vinci, Sugiyama, Coetzer, Tanasugarn, Vaidisova, Zheng, Dokic and Kournikova are the world's best tennis players in the world!!!

Nadal wasn't playing bad, but Schüttler never seemed in trouble today. Maybe at the end of the match when Rafael got one break back, but Rainer still won it easily.
Chiudinelli shouldn't be a problem either, but I won't see Schüttler defeat in form Nalbandian in the quarters. Could be a great match, though!

17 (yes, yes, yes!) Slams! And counting....

GREAT WIN, Rainer!!

Most of the games have been close and it was unnecessary to give Nadal one break back in the 2nd set, but still it's a good win for Rainer!

Nadal is a good opponent but had today no idea how to beat Rainer...

Well done!
Now win the 2nd round as well! Good luck!

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Nadal is crap indoors, but it's still nice to see Rainer get a win.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Thumbs up Re: It's the alternate week!! Schuettler advances to the second round with a 6-3,6-4 win!

Yeah good win , he never really looked in bother, even after dropping serve while serving for the match at 5-2. I think he's more motivated to win when playing against higher-ranked players like Nadal, than when it's against a guy in the low 80s-90s (as for example PimPim and Soderling were at the start of the year). If he gets by Chiudinelli tonight, his QF could turn out to be a good one. Spadea has been a bit of a nemesis this year, so he'll want to turn that around, and Nalbandian would be a good way to measure himself too.
Buddy, I was going on the "alternate months" theory earlier this year (January crap, February ok, March crap, etc) but that fell apart a bit in August

My German guys are like the cast of the Wizard of Oz:

Rainer = Lion
Kiwi = Scarecrow
Tommy = Tin Man
Flo = Dorothy

...but I still love 'em

Wow cool. Schuettler can actually win. Isn´t that great news? Well done. Poor Rafa though.

Who wants to play with my balls?
