Rome R1: [Q] Querrey def. Nieminen 7-6(4) 5-7 6-4

Good win for Samuel, broke to win, only the third BP he had in the entire match. Shark won more points overall and had 15-30 at 4 all in the third before dumping serve to love to lose, hitting his first DF of the match at 0-30. Sam had a 7-6 3-0 lead that he let slip away.

Disappointing loss for Jarkko to collapse in such a way on serve at the end but a good week Sam is having here in Italy.

Good shit Sammy.

Jaarrko's been very quiet since winning Sydney.

RIP Henry Chinaski. A true MTF legend

Horrible result.

Yeah Nieminen played too much January to March almost every week so he is tired
He isn't young anymore.
He should control his schedule, seriously.

But good win, Querry

Always bad when Querrey wins a match, especially on clay.

Disappointing result but Jarkko wasn't going to beat Almagro...

Jarkko has overplayed a bit, won Sydney carrying a small injury and had to retire at the AO, then at the States his back seized up and wasn't able to get any results. He had an ok run at Belgrade.

But in other Jarkko related news, he has founded the Jarkko Nieminen Tennis Academy in Helsinki, a non-profit organization . He's a good ambassador for tennis in Finland, such a good sport and a good guy (well apart from the swearing that he does quite a bit in matches . Luckily few umpires understand Finnish )

After Nadal beat Monfils at Doha, before AO 2014

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.
Somewhere out there, there is a homeless person who once took betting advice from GSMnadal

Too bad for Jarkko....Looks like a close match, was serving better in the first set and lost the TB....Cant help but always want Jarkko to win....Such a nice guy, so respectable..Finnish pride at its best...Hope he can get some wins in at Roland Garros....Keep pressing forward Jarkko
