Rome R2: [6] Ferrer def. Verdasco 6-3 7-6(3)

Too tough from David. Too consistent, too efficient and effectively offensively with his forehand, good serving after a poor start on serve. Nando's serve just isn't enough of a weapon in this match-up and allows David to get into too many points, and the long rallies obviously favor Ferrer. Nando played better in the second set, with more controlled aggression and tried flattening his backhand out more, with some decent success, but he was never looking like winning the second set and played poorly in the tiebreak.

All in all, a nice win for David, played a pretty sharply after falling behind early breaks to start both sets.

It wasn't a great match, but there were quite a few nice rallies I though. It wasn't that bad. I thought David played pretty well considering the conditions. Nando played a lot better in the second set until the tiebreak.

Verdasco has no brains for tennis at all.... strutting around and fussing over that hair isnt enough!

Re: Rome R2: [6] Ferrer def. Verdasco 6-3 7-6(3)

David Ferrer always gives the impression that he is the hardest working man on the tour. Very gifted and mentally tough player! Verdasco has a tendency to go for those million dollar shots... He doesn't have a lot of patient and is not willing to grind it out. Ferrer on the other hand is about mental attrition. he will eventually break you down and he will make you pay. TO play ferrer you must be supernaturally tactically gifted if not it's going to be a gruelling long day or maybe a short one in some cases

Ferrer has been doing quite well in the tie-breaks.

Ferrer got his clay career ***** by Nadal/Federer but he is very consistent against everyone else.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

According to Certainfy though Verdasco is suppose to be way better than Ferrer. This result just isn't possible.

The BIGGEST (borderline delusional) fan of players on General Message Board according to Forehander:
Grigor Dimitrov: FedererBulgaria
Borna Coric: Crowdmaker
Nick Krygios: Dan.
Tommy Haas: Leng Jai
Sebastien Grosjean: Myself
Novak Djokovic: Chiico (Leader of the No1e Cult)

Bah, Verdasco failing in crucial junctures again vs Ferrer, what's new?

At least he got that win against Nadal, which was quite an achievement.
