Rome R1: Ferrero def. Anderson 6-4 7-5

First ATP tournament MD win for Mosquito this season. JCF saved two 15-40 service games against him in the first set and was able to break at 4 all and held easily to win set one. Great serve percentage for JCF and he was in most of Anderson's service games.

Saved three BPs serving for the match at *5-4 in the second set but he missed many first serves that game and was broken. Broke back immediately and was able to close things out the second time.

Anderson isn't the best on clay, but a win is a win for the veteran Spaniard.

The end is still near.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

This is unexpected result but I'm glad to win JCF
I know Anderson isn't good on clay.

One win was all his confidence needed. Juan Carlos will now win Roland Garros
