Rome, QR1: Marco Cecchinato def. Go Soeda 7:5, 2:6, 6:3

Just shows how terribly is Soeda overranked. Good win for the Italian though.

I checked Marco´s results, they aren´t any special...he took Golubev to 3 sets, won futures in Croatia but then... Of course, I am not saying he can´t rise in the future. And for Soeda, he is a classic example how a player with smart schedule and a bit of luck can reach TOP 60.

Can't judge Soeda on clay.

Soeda is utter crap outside shit Asian tournaments. Most overranked player in top 100 along with Donald Young.

Roger Federer - Martin Klizan - Lukas Lacko - Milos Raonic - Fernando Verdasco

Dustin Brown - Nick Kyrgios - Norbert Gombos - Stanislas Wawrinka - Dominic Thiem

Nice of Soeda to get one match in on clay before getting destroyed first round at the French.

Andy Murray: 2012 Olympic gold and silver medalist. US Open Champ. Wimbledon champ. Never been prouder of him.

The Brian Baker Story. Proof that truth is stranger than fiction... until Hollywood buys the rights and proceeds to keep screwing the script up.

Re: Rome, QR1: Marco Cecchinato def. Go Soeda 7:5, 2:6, 6:3

I am kicking myself for not putting some money on this one. Was looking at this matchup yesterday and I thought the odds were crazy for a young Italian clay courter playing an overachieving Soeda who is clueless on clay in Italy. Well, hindsight is always 20/20, because I ended up passing this up.

Supporting the unusual strokes gang: Dolgopolov, Mayer, Mannarino, Tomic

We all knew that Soeda would be beyond useless on clay.

You don't even know Marco, so this post shows exactly how little your brain is

Good win for Marco, he is clearly ready to play Challengers regularly. He is good enough to enter Top 100 one day, but time will tell us
