CH Rome F: Janowicz def. Muller 7-6(3) 6-3

2nd career challenger title for the Pole. Only ten points lost on serve. Dominant from the baseline, and destroyed Muller with dropshots. His motivation and energy level was extremely high all week, and he was simply the best player this week at this event. Great week for Jerzy. Still only 21, it's tournaments like this which make you realize that if he can put things all together, he can definitely be a factor going forward.

I've heard that Janowicz grunts loudly and has a huge serve but I don't know anything else about him

Well, all I know is that he's 2,04m tall (around 6'8 if I'm not mistaken), hard courts are his favorite surface, and forehand is his best shot. He played junior finals in both US Open(in 2007) and French Open(2008). Also, he's in the polish Davis Cup team. Oh, and his nickname's JJ or Jeżyk (Jerzyk?).

(with Rui Machado, from last year's Poznan Porsche Open final)

Nice win for him after losing a tough one barely to Sijsling earlier, seemed to maybe lose some confidence there for awhile, good to see his game back, and on probably his worst surface too.
