Blue clay poll

Here's a poll with some possible attitudes toward the blue clay...I listed nine options based on various things people have been saying in the news. What do you think?
Edit: I picked
Mixed; court is fine, but the players should have been consulted first
Approve; the new color is a lot better on TV

Nobody beats Vitas Gerulaitis seventeen times in a row

Awesomeness: Federer Nadal Djokovic

Squick: Murray

Re: Blue clay poll

Is there a way to have changed the color without disrupting or altering the makeup of the clay? Or was that not the initial intentions (to keep the court playing the way it formerly did)?

Re: Blue clay poll

I like the colour, but obviously the surface itself is causing problems. Although it has to be said that tennis players are incredibly pernickety about small changes and may be reading problems into it which aren't there - i.e. they slip on a normal claycourt and shrug it off, they slip on this one and start ranting about blue clay.

Re: Blue clay poll

Like the color.
Like it's a fast surface (love this clay variety).
Like the innovation.

Dislike the non-tradition.
Dislike the players had no voice on this.

Think they should had try it first in the ATP Bucharest and see how it works out. Come on Tiriac...

Re: Blue clay poll

I don't mind the color of the court or its speed. It's the danger it poses for players and its place in the schedule.

Re: Blue clay poll

It's not the color of the clay that's causing the crappy courts. They're crappy anyway, they were last year too. People just see a problem and think that's it, but the problem was there last year too.

I like the blue, there's no rule that says clay has to be slow and bounce to a certain height, we have hard courts that are slow so why can't we have clay that is fast?

imo they could fix the problem and still have the clay blue because it's not the blue causing the problem. Whether it would still be fast I don't know.

in short I approve of the blue color but disapprove of the shit clay

They should try shiny white clay at Rome. I bet it would look great in the sunlight!
