Madrid R2: JMDP gives Colonel Youzhny his marching orders 6-4, 7-6(1)

Delpo had a break lead in the second, gave it back at 3-2, but got it back at 5-5. Youzhny Verdascoed on BP at 5-5. Delpo gave it back again.

Another Delpo-Cilic game next.

this lack of filo v threads is refreshing

colonel losing, however, is not. Good fight as always anyway.

It seems Del Potro has rediscovered a pattern to win tie-breaks (6-1 since Indian Wells). It would be nice if he added another one tomorrow against Cilic.

It's tough to create angles with his grip And his serve is solid, 70%, 6 aces today, nothing to complain.

There were some great points by Colonel every now and then. Youzhny I think has the second most beautiful game on the tour.

But it wasn't enough. This Del Potro is simply too consistent.

Mughail Youzhless belongs in a circus, not on a tennis court. Losing to a brainless ballbasher like Mug Potro only further proves my point.

Happy that you say that : I think the same (well I'm torn with Nalbandian) and especially yesterday

And his backhand is clearly my favourite one-handed backhand : I prefer it to Gasquet's personally, especially as Gasquet's slice is not beautiful like Youzhny's and I love the way Youzhny can make a flat or sliced backhand from the same start of the preparation.

True, but Youzhny also made too many errors, esp. on big points, yesterday.

Anyway, another beautiful match on court 1 for me

misha is sure to watch, but he doesn't have the consistent weight of shot anymore.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

David Nalbandian
