Madrid R2 : Cilic def. Isner 7-6 (4) 7-6 (3)

Good performance from Cilic.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Cilic 2.0 is tie-break king and clayGOAT.

Cilic's best win in quite a while IMO.

Cilic wanted this.

Immaculate from Cilic. Isner played a good match but was let down by the double faults in the end. Cilic is a dangerous opponent to anyone in 2012 if he continues to believe in himself.

I love attacking tennis

FEDERER - DEL POTRO - DIMITROV
Tsonga Haas Nishikori Wawrinka
Cilic Djokovic Gulbis Kyrgios

Hewitt Soderling Roddick

What a hilarious result . Isner was awful, slipping left and right but most of the time to win a breaker against Cilic you just have to be able to hold a racket so credits to Cilic

Re: Madrid R2 : Cilic def. Isner 7-6 (4) 7-6 (3)

Cilic served at 48% definitely needs to improve that, but everything else was solid.

Isner really had no clue with the movement on the smurf turf.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Madrid R2 : Cilic def. Isner 7-6 (4) 7-6 (3)

Kind of expected. Isner has no rhytm on clay, Cilic does. Both equal clay courters, ergo Cilic wins close.

But very good win nevertheless, didn't break under pressure in the TBS, that's new.

Re: Madrid R2 : Cilic def. Isner 7-6 (4) 7-6 (3)

Cilic's level depends a lot on confidence then this is a great great win for him

Especially defeating the tie-break king (after Fed) in two tie-breaks

I knew Cilic was a danger for Isner : he's a very good returner and he showed that against Isner already in AO 2011, and he showed good confidence last week.

Another Del Po-Cilic or another Cilic-Youzhny in perspective : both start being classics
