See, even champions like him can acknowledge the fact that someone played better than they did in a particular day, it's nothing to be ashamed of and only tards believe their faves cannot lose if they aren't mentally weakened/injured/tired/sick/etc
actually, note carefully the "sometimes" at the beginning of the sentence.
the connotation here is that he is not always beaten for this reason. "sometimes" other things caused his defeat. you know- like mentally weakened, injured, mono, poor light etc.
federer is very good at using words. he says things in a disarming and charming manner so that you don't realise that you are being insulted or damned with faint praise.
he pulls people in and they start going on about how gracious and charming he is but if you read carefully between the lines or can pick up quickly what he is actually saying; you realise that he is being a bit of a prat and is quite arrogant and egotistical.
it's for this reason that i started disliking him ( pls know,i don't hate him, and respect and admire his game a lot) whereas before i thought he was a really nice guy and really liked the cute way he was with rafa. now i can barely stand it when he opens his mouth to speak as what he says is rarely ok.
