Nadal leads Federer 3-1 outdoor hardcourts, while Federer leads 3-0 indoor

Too bad for Federer there aren't many indoor events (although the WTF is a big one)

Lucky the US Open doesn't have a roof, and lucky Australian summer doesn't have too much rain

Interesting to see an indoor Wimbledon Final

The surface homogenised but it's still an achievement to win slams on 3 different surfaces, no? Comparing that to the masters doesn't really work because Nadal won one more. Certainly arguable but I wouldn't get my knickers in a twist just because of that.

If you count indoors yeah, but I personally play tennis outdoors and it seems fine even on the windy days I pierce it with power and control it with spin

Nadal copes with the weather better than most mainly because his vicious top spin can bring the ball into court even when windy etc

Federer and Nadal fan!

Too bad for Nadal that the net isn't 50 cm higher. He would be unbeatable if it was.

Proud fan of Olderer, the GOAT.

Re: Nadal leads Federer 3-1 outdoor hardcourts, while Federer leads 3-0 indoor

This is because Rafa's game is aided by the weather. The wind, Rafa is still effective, especially in comparison to 95% of players. The heat, Rafa can wear down opponents with his spin, and his balls have more juice on them. In the humidity, Rafa's balls are heavier and difficult to handle. In the cold, courts are slower, which makes it difficult to hit through Rafa.

In a controlled area without the weather conditions, and the fact most indoor courts tend to play quicker/lower bounce compared to outdoor events, Roger has the clear advantage.
