Sanremo Future R1: 16 years old Gianluigi Quinzi def. (8)Gianni Mina 62 64

Unbelievable Gianluigi was born in 1996 and is currently ranked n.5 among juniors, he had already gained some points at Senior Tour and won some matches in some futures, but Mina is ranked something like 450 and GQ lost just 6 games

Is Mina still considered a talented player? I don't know, but Quinzi is making a great job.
Great chance for the quarters: his next opponent is Torresi.

Good luck GQ

Been following Quinzi closely for awhile now, seems to have a lot of potential.

Excellent win!

Mina has potential still, but he's definitely not as highly regarded as he once was.

Great win for Quinzi. I've seen some highlights of him but never an entire match. He seems to be a very clean ballstriker. Hopefully he continues progressing!

According to his results he really seems to be a great prospect for the future as he could be playing junior tournaments until 2014! He also has a great record on the Juniors tour, winning several tournaments the last years. Has anyone ever saw him play?

What shocks me is that he is just 16.
Being fifteen, he was already winning GA and G1 tournaments, easily defeating his opponents. I mean, next year just a player will be ahead of him, but GQ could surpass him this year, yet.
He has a great future with no doubt, let's hope he doesn't lose himself

So its miracle if he make Futures win at the age of 16, his 4th ever? Christian Garin is few months younger and he won 3 Futures match and one set in Challenger

Garin is not Italian though, so this is a bigger story.

Peter Polansky
Nestor - Chvojka - Pospisil - Raonic - Peliwo

Impressive results from a 16-year old but I am not impressed by his tennis. I was more impressed by Guccione to tell the truth.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

It's still impressive He has not played a lot among Seniors, and he is the youngest players best-placed among juniors at the moment.
I have never heard of this Garin to be honest

GQ now playing his second round match against Torresi!

Albert Alcaraz did semis(futures MD) being 16 years old. This season he is not playing futures at the moment. He is still ranked 972 ATP.
