Belgrade R2: Nalbandian def. [Q] Bedene 6-4 6-3

Strong match from David. Outside of a lapse in the middle of the second set, he hit the ball great and returned great, especially the forehand, which was powerful, also hit some great touch shots at the net today. Some beautiful shotmaking from both, but Bedene was a little too lightweight. He's got to improve his serve and gain some more power, but he's a very clean ballstriker.

The final game from David was really awesome with some huge forehand winners. Plays like this going forward, and he has a good shot at the title.

Bedene needs more power to hang with ATP players consistently, especially on hardcourt. He's got a lot of talent but he needs to fill out a little bit.

Like how he chucked his wrist bad accidentally to the chair ump. LOL.

Just give the title to Nalbandian now.

Take the title david

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

David Nalbandian

Aljaž

I hope he enjoyed a tennis lesson from the legend.

Hoping he cracks top 100 soon. If Kavčič did it so can Bedene...And his game is way bigger than Kavčič's who can't even serve properly.

If Dave plays at 30% he's still able to win this thing.

Re: Belgrade R2: Nalbandian def. [Q] Bedene 6-4 6-3

Today I learned that Aljaz has an identical twin brother named Andraz, who is ranked over 700 spots lower than him. Guess that goes to show that there is way more to tennis than just genetics.

I think Aljaz has a really good serve but he has to hold back and play more safely when needed. He really broke himself in the first set with those double faults.

Supporting the unusual strokes gang: Dolgopolov, Mayer, Mannarino, Tomic
