Barcelona R2: Montañes def. Tomic 6-0 5-7 7-5

Too good Fat Albert saving match points when he was serving at *4-5. Finally getting some matches after the hernia problem he has had.

Nard Dog plenty of break points in the final game as well.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Barcelona R2: Montanes def. Tomic 6-0 5-7 7-5

Bernard had 6 BPs in the final game. An extremely back and forth match. Albert also saved a handful of MPs at *4-5 in the third set. Bernard came from a break down in the third. Almost pulled off a great comeback but it wasn't meant to be. Good fighting win for Albert, this victory will give him a lot of joy.

Wow. What a way to ruin a great comeback by choking.

And here I was thinking Tomic was mentally tough....

Lots of chances for Tomic but Montanes only needed one MP to seal it.

Mental giant Monty returns. MP saved, 11/12 BPs saved in 3rd set, including MPs and BPs when serving for it

Tomic wasted 10 break points in the last two return games, 4 of those were match points, three of which were on Montanes' second serve. Lost on the first match point he faced

All character building for Nard Dog.

I couldn't watch the match but how is it possible to only win 3 point on serve and only 5 points in total in the 1st set? Still he put up a good fight in the end but how much of that was due to Tomic and not Montanes being rusty?
