Bucharest R1: Seppi def. Rufin 1-6 7-6(5) 6-4

South Tyrol's finest finally got it done, more to time to hang around in Bucharest for the chicks.

Rufin served for the match at 5-4.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Usually bookies have Seppi at 1.02 to lose serve when he serves for the match.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Yes Seppi was mentally tougher here though against a young opponent. Problem is Seppi general form isn't good enough if he wants to win this.

All Italian Players

Especially Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini

Juan Martin Del Potro

Roger Federer

Thomas Berdych

Fernando Verdasco

actually Rufin rather has the opposite habit of starting very well then weakening with time (he has this less this year but previous years it was obvious)

You could actually see and hear the match from the court two livestream. It seemed like Seppi's serve bailed him out, and also Rufin made errors in critical moments. The *5-4 Rufin game in the second set was a long one and he was able to find a way to break. Good grinding win for Andy.

Rufin won 10 points more than Seppi!

What a sick turnaround. Nailbiting second set and the third was far from routine as well having to save many break points.

Well done, Andreas. A reward for this hard fought win is a winnable match against Stebe.

I already told it last week but it's disappointing to see Guillaume not taking his chances. Against Kohli he was up 4/2 1st set, here he served for the match...prone to choke it seems.
