Why does Gulbis even play anymore? Routined by clay GOAT Tomic

Beating a clay juggernaut like Gulbis, surely makes Tomic the new RG fav

Re: Barcelona R1: Tomic def. Gulbis 6-3 6-4

In 2010 Gulbis looked like he could be the next big thing on clay. That year he beat Federer in Rome in 3 sets, took Nadal to 3 sets in Rome SF, and took Federer to 3 sets in Madrid QF. Now he is completely useless on any surface. Such a shame.

Good win from Tomic though. Should be clay GOAT in no time.

i hate to say it but neither one is anything to brag about on this surface. Normally you'd say ernests was but not anymore

Gulbis has fallen so far
Great chance for Monty, I'll be heartbroken if Tomic beats him

albert should beat bernard. Tomic doesnt have any wins on clay that would prove he can beat a clay court player of albert's quality.

The real question will be how Bernie fares against Montanes. Albert is a good player to test whether Bernie can actually do anything on clay. Raonic more than failed the test last week.

Andy Murray: 2012 Olympic gold and silver medalist. US Open Champ. Wimbledon champ. Never been prouder of him.

The Brian Baker Story. Proof that truth is stranger than fiction... until Hollywood buys the rights and proceeds to keep screwing the script up.

Well before these two events, he had never beaten a top 100 player outside a Grand Slam without the need for a third set or a tiebreaker.

Crazy stat and true too. At least when speaking about the main draw, he did beat Kubot 6-3, 6-2 in the final qualifying round for Sydney 2011.

It's not a good win for Tomic. He beat a player out of the top100 and in terrible form. That's not a good win, that's an expected win. Beating a player ranked above him would be a good win. Once he does this, then it can be called a 'good win'.

Sorry to disappoint you but Ernests will be in too 100 for a little bit longer, because he has no points to defend for a few weeks(until Nice),then has nothing to defend until LA shortly before Olympics,so you'll have to keep hating the fact won't you!

Cheering for Nole Gilles Tomas Domi Stan Roger Sascha Struffi
Jamie Murray No 1 - AO Doubles Champ 2016 - congrats!
Thanks for the memories Juan Carlos

The only thing that disappoints me is your clear lack of respect. Where Gulbis is currently ranked doesn't matter. The only thing that does matter is the fact that he is in terrible form and hardly wins.
