Monte Carlo R3: Murray def. Benneteau 6-5 RET (Benne has a broken elbow)

Poor Benne with the ankle and the wrist problem, he was playing well. Shit way for Murray to win.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

MC R 16: Julien retires against Murray 5-6

Julien was playing really well, Murray a bit frustrated, and then Benny hit the Monaco patch and injures his wrist and ankle.

Murray dodges a very dangerous bullet with the help of an apparently poorly maintained court and some serious bad luck for Benneteau.

That was looking very dangerous for Murray until that point.

It would have been better for Murray to have found a way through an inspired Benneteau and his own frustrations. This was a bad result all around. Hopefully Benny is out for a month like Monaco.

Disgusting Centre Court, something is fucked up there. Benneteau stumbled almost exactly in the same place where it happened to Monaco

Re: Monte Carlo R3: Murray def. Benneteau 6-5 RET

Strange the Monte Carlo courts aren't as good as normal. Murray saying to Bernandes "there are holes in the court".

You'd think they should have enough spare clay and topsoil to put over the bare patches. Think the groundspeople have to be working hard on this court, you'd think they'd have it bedded down and prepared for this event.

Benneteau was playing some good stuff.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

For god's sake, it's not like he put a curse on them or something. Staying healthy has always been a big part of a game, why should he be thrashed for managing to do that?
