Monte Carlo R2: [2] Nadal def. Nieminen 6-4 6-3

Adequate from Nadal. Not an overwhelmingly great match from Rafa, but Nieminen simply does not have the ingredients to beat him and Rafa moved well and looked healthy. Some entertaining rallies, and Jarkko tried his hardest as he always does.

Nieminen was really really bad with random patches of brilliance as he frequently is. The pathetic-brilliant ratio was pretty bad though

Nadal playing at about 50%, Nieminen playing very well aside from the final DF.

7 games is a good showing.

No, Nieminen was good. Nadal quite avarage for his standard.

Pretty much everything I expected.

Really if Almagro plays well and doesn't choke he could push Nadal in the QF.

Yup, this pretty much, good effort from Jarkko Random stats:

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Poor quality but he would get it done eventually. Sharkko might be weaponless, but he likes trying his hardest when he wants to.

Re: Monte Carlo R2: [2] Nadal def. Nieminen 6-4 6-3

Jarkko played okish but he doesn't have the firepower to beat Nadal.

Nadal looked mediocre, quite a few errors from him which is surprising on clay.

I love all aspects of TENNIS.

Federer - The Artist
Murray - The Tactician
Nalbandian - The Ballstriker
Llodra - The S/V

Re: Monte Carlo R2: [2] Nadal def. Nieminen 6-4 6-3

Nieminen was really challenging Nadal's forehand and winning alot of fh to fh duels, Nieminen was just more offensive minded with his forehands than Nadal and taking the initiative. Nieminen's backhand is just not very good, that is the problem.

when nieminen wasn't missing he was outplaying nadal. it just shows how limited talent nadal posses, if it posses. good to see nadal's BH improving on clay also . no way he is gonna beat nole

kneedal was playing on one knee as the result shows. nadal at 100% would've won 6-0 6-0, that's obvious.

Also nadal is undefeated when healthy so djokovic was lucky kneedal was injured for the past year and a half.
