Re: Murray : "I can still become the best in the world this year"

Obviously Murray has been hit in the head by something. he has been saying a lot of things lately that make me question if he has a brain concussion that nobody knows about. Walker-in-sleep maybe

Delpo beat Federer and Nadal in 2009 USO with insane power off both wings, especially blisteting forehands one after another. That's how you win Slams, not by pushing and allowing Federer to dictate with his forehand as Murray has done on two occasions now.

Djokovic needs no presentations; not only did he beat Fedal, but he became a dominant player himself.
This.

Djokovic, Federer, Tsonga, Del Potro, Wawrinka, Thiem, Nishikori, Raonic

Congrats Djokovic on winning 2016 French Open and becoming the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win 4 consecutive majors!

Re: Murray : "I can still become the best in the world this year"

Nope, not happening.

You need to win a slam (usually involves beating 2 of Nole/Rafa/Roger to win it) to be world #1 in the ATP (when's the last time an ATP player who didn't win a slam become world #1?).

He is terrible in slam finals, I really hope he does win 1 slam in his career mainly because I think he is too talented not to win one. Unfortunately as we have seen in his first 3 slam finals, he is a major headcase in slam finals and doesn't even put up a fight and ends up playing ultra defensive. Hopefully if he does end up playing in another slam final this year (Wimbledon or US Open), he at least wins a set.

Good luck to him.

Djokovic, Federer, Tsonga, Del Potro, Wawrinka, Thiem, Nishikori, Raonic

Congrats Djokovic on winning 2016 French Open and becoming the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win 4 consecutive majors!

Re: Murray : "I can still become the best in the world this year"

at the very least for Murray his deal with Queens Club gives him a good chance of becoming all time record holder of that trophy....

Welcome to MTF...

I assume you guys were talking about Very Hard - just beat Murray 7-6(1), 6-4 on Hard. Tough, but obviously winnable.

Nole's parents are still far more annoying. Or at least used to be, and proof of that is that now even Nole keeps them away from TVs.

Murray : "I can still become the best [choker] in the world this year".

What Murray really should have said was "No one can not go for their shots quite like me in the biggest matches". "Sure, sure I've beaten all those guys in the past but that just adds to my choking legacy...that's what makes losing to them in a Grand Slam all that much more impressive". "When it comes to playing nervous pushing tennis on the biggest stage, I'm the best in the world and I still believe that".

That's absolutely beside the point for the purposes of this thread, since their being annoying for a possible spectator has nothing to do with their success as sport parents. And in that department, Judy is woefully incompetent, unlike Srđan and Dijana.

Murray should say: I hope to stay in the top5 with no forehand
