Matches you're most looking forward to this year

Especially 1st time h2h match-ups. Which matches are you most looking forward to seeing this year?

Harrison - Tomic
'This one could be a mess if Tomic gets the upper-hand and Ryan becomes too emotional, but an interesting match-up nonetheless.'

Delpo - Raonic
'I'm aware that Delpo could straight-up embarrass Raonic if he's firing on all cylinders, but I have a feeling this could be a very long, tight, and entertaining one (especially if it's a 5-setter).'

Re: Matches you're most looking forward to this year

Berdych vs Federer - Always seem to have great matches. If it's not for the competitive aspect it's always been due to one playing awesome, so I just hope we won't have to wait as long as we did last year to see it.

Raonic vs Murray/Djokovic - Would love to see how good that serve is when it comes to playing the best 2 returners in the game. Given how Ferrer has handled it in the past it should be obvious how it turns out but worth a watch nonetheless.

Monfils vs Berdych - Have only played each other twice and their final this year in Montpellier was pretty good quality too.

Tsonga vs Monfils - As entertaining as a tennis match can get.

Del Potro vs Nadal - Del Potro has kept it competitive the last few times they've played on every surface even in relatively poor form. This year's Del Potro (exc. matches against Federer) has been much better so has a much better chance of beating Nadal once again.

Berdych vs Nadal - Berdych is still on a horrible losing streak against Nadal but at least in the last 2 matches he's shown up and actually remembered how to take sets. Can definitely see Berdych having a good chance of beating Nadal once again this year.

Djokovic against nadal at RG.

1st time h2h match-ups: Roger against Dimitrov.

Re: Matches you're most looking forward to this year

Murray v Federer on grass/clay - annoying that them being 3 and 4 means we see the match up so infrequently. Seeing them on clay is very unlikely (potentially Madrid if both Nadal and Djokovic crash out/skip?!) but grass is possible. Bronze medal Olympics match would be fine.

Raonic v Murray/Djokovic - he's lost to Fedal - let's see what he does against Murray & Djokovic. Worth bearing in mind that Fed, Nadal, Djokovic etc. all had big wins early on (vs Sampras, Federer etc.) - Raonic needs to step up at some point if he's truly going to be the star of the future.

Davydenko v Nadal - preferably on clay - need to get that H2H looking a bit better.

Harrison v Nadal - like Harrison and want to see how he does against more of the big boys

Del Potro v Murray/Djokovic on clay - had a lot of him vs Fed - let's try some others in the big 4 instead - he did well vs Novak on clay last year; nearly took Nadal to 5 in Davis Cup. Could be a threat.

Federer v Djokovic on grass - Wimbledon/Olympics - really want to see how this match up would work

Dolgopolov v Tomic on clay - 2 odd players - would be strange to see this

Spot on Mr. CD.
Imagine a first time Djokovic-Federer Wimbledon Final where they could possibly play for #1 in the world, similar to Djokovic-Nadal at last year's Wimbledon.
A Federer win at Wimbledon would be a 2440 ranking point net swing. That's a lot of points.

Assuming the top 3 all make it to the semifinals/final, here are the 6 possibilities in order of gain for Federer on Djokovic in Djokovic-Federer meetings.
Given points gained/loss per result (R):
R Federer Djok. Nadal
W +1640........ 0 +800
Fin. +840... -800.... 0
SF.. +360. -1280 -480

Federer d. Djokovic in semifinal, defeats Nadal in Final - Federer gains 2920 on Djokovic, 1640 on Nadal.
Federer d. Djokovic in Final, Nadal makes it to semis - Federer gains 2440 on Djokovic, 2120 on Nadal.
Federer d. Djokovic in semifinal, loses to Nadal in Final - Federer gains 2120 on Djokovic, 40 on Nadal.
Djokovic d. Federer in semifinal, loses to Nadal in Final - Federer gains 1160 on Djokovic, -440 to Nadal.
Djokovic d. Federer in Final, Nadal makes it to semis - Federer gains 840 on Djokovic, 1320 on Nadal.
Djokovic d. Federer in semifinal, defeats Nadal in Final - Federer gains 360 on Djokovic and Nadal.

Now one can see why Federer is taking a long rest now, and trying to peak for the grass season - it's not only for the Olympics.

It's also probably why Mr. Djokovic is going to fight hard for improvement at Roland Garros, making a final or winning there. He needs a great clay season to maintain or increase his point lead pre-Wimbledon.

Respectfully,
masterclass

I know! Can't believe we got the match up on the first clay court tournament too. Amazing. Sadly will be at work when the match is on but can't wait to see the odd shots these guys pull out - will be rooting for Dolgo all the way!
