Miami R1: [Q] Goffin def. Young 7-5 6-4

David wins the breakfest. 46% of service points won for DY. Donald served for the first set at *5-4 and hit back to back doubles to lose serve. Goffin was up a break twice in the second set, which he lost, but Donald failed to hold his serve whenever he was able to get back even. His struggles continue but a great victory for the young Belgian.

Re: Miami R1: [Q] Goffin def. Young 7-5 6-4

This match was ..well lets call it for what it was shit. Donald was probably the worse of the two of them. Several times he blew 40-15 games and got broken

12 breaks of serve in 22 games and 15 double faults between the two of them

its a win and im glad david gets gis first masters series win but he will need to step it up big time or be slaughtered by almagro

Allez David
Expected for me, Young is overranked and Goffin underranked. Hopefully David plays a competitive match against Almagro.

Probably a really bad match. I expected a more confortable win for Goffin. But a win is a win I guess.

How much you think he is going to rise? Seriously?

He should take a lesson from the other 89 player, Nishikori who keeps his head low, work hard and quietly climbs up the rankings.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

Young has peaked, he is done. Challengers tournaments ahead of him
