Miami R1: Karlovic def. Kubot 6-3 6-7(2) 7-6(2)

First win for Ivo over Kubot in four tries. Kubot was serving at 80% with four service points lost in the third set until serving for the match at *5-4, where he hit three second serves, one of them being a double fault, and losing serve to 30. Typical meltdown from the Pole from a winning position, but a great win for Ivo. Match took 3:03.

Miami R1: Karlovic out-marathons Kubot 6-3, 6-7(2), 7-6(2)

So, Q-Bot was defeated by the serve-bot. Always bad when the worst of the bots wins.

Kubot served for the match at *5-4 but chocked with a DF in the middle of the game.

27 aces by Ivo! It was just too much for Kubot!

I was hoping the polish would have a decent run here! Wasn't to be! But this was a hell of a marathon. 3 hours of play today! I doubt that Karlovic will have enough stamina for the 2nd round...

Losing to Karlovic when having served for the match.

A huge win for Ivo confidence-wise. Against his nemesis Kubot, being a break down in the third, breaking when Kubot was serving for the match. 27 aces
The only problem is, he faces Del Potro next

This is why tennis could be very annoying with match ups . Kubot is most of the time useless choker incapable of beating anybody, Karlovic plays good tennis at the moment and could make few upsets but he can fuck himself because this Polish guy is fucking nightmare for his game . Ivo was a better player for two sets but he needed Kubot's trademark choking to win the match

Kubot is almost 30 no wonder he did nothing in his career.

Kubot serving for match against arguably worst returner in top 100 and he get broken and outaced in TB- must say Ivo was impressive in his last 2 service games and TB, a lot of FS in- aces and so on. Ivo had 27 aces and won 54 FS points, i don´t know if he had 2nd serve ace, if he even had 1or 2 still we can see he won half of FS points by aces, there were for sure many other unreturnables, that means he basically won almost nothing in neutral rally and Kubot is not known as baseliner... Good victory for Ivo.

Q-bot had a very good record of tight matches when he was a Futures-Challenger player. The main level is too tough for his freak defending-attacking game, and yes, he deserves a "choker" label.

Everyone looks a baseliner when they are playing Ivo...

Slowly realizing that there's more actual tennis talk during rounds that are not streamed that in those that are so.

Go figure.
