WWW Miami R1: Bogomolov Jr. vs Muller
This was the beginning of Alex Bogomolov's rise to fame at the ATP level last season, after he qualified, came back from 2-*5 to defeat Hanescu in the first round, and beat Murray in the second round in straights. This season hasn't been so kind to Bogomolov as he's only once won back-to-back matches at an event this season and has only three top 100 victories. Muller made the QF of Dallas last week, the first time he's won back-to-back matches this season. Muller is 0-6 in Miami in his career but leads the H2H 3-0 over Bogomolov, with a win over the Russian last year in Atlanta.
This is a match Bogo basically has to win. He reside(d) in south Florida for much of his life, so he should feel at home here in Miami. Muller's record here sucks, the courts don't suit his game, but if he serves well, the H2H shows he's in with a shot to win here.
I think Bogomolov wins in straight sets, but it could go either way depending on how Muller serves and if he's getting returns in play. Hopefully Gilles wins, as he needs the points.
