Miami R1: Lacko def. Sweeting 6-4 6-4
Good win for Lukas, saved 8/9 BPs in the match. Sweeting saved 4 BPs the first game of the match but was broken at 1 all after saving two more BPs to fall behind early. He had two BPs at 3-*4 to get back into the first set and didn't take advantage. In the second set, Ryan got out to a *2-0 lead but was broken immediately to 15 to lose his advantage. Lacko DF'd twice and fell behind *15-40 at 2-1 but Sweeting did not break missing three more break points, and got broken again to allow Lacko to take a *3-2 lead in the second set. Lacko again saved two break points to hold for 5-3 in the second set. Sweeting had several openings, especially in the second set, but wasn't able to win the big points, and only winning 35% of second serve points hurts. Again, another match where Ryan has an opportunity but cannot take advantage, but gotta give credit to Lacko for doing what was required to win.
Now vs Nishikori, he'll be in with a shot there.
