CH Marrakech R2: PHM def Giannessi 6-3 7-6(3)
Quite an up and down second set. Giannessi had 4-*1 and *5-3 and couldn't win the set. Paulo didn't serve great in the second set and it got him into some trouble, as well, he started making some poor errors and was being pinned behind the baseline by Giannessi's forehand too often. But as the set went onward he started playing more offensively and on-top of the baseline, and won seven straight points to hold to get into a tiebreak and take a 4-*0 lead in the breaker.
Overall, up and down tennis, his level is decent but still has some lapses, as always. But his talent ability is simply too good for challenger players. And he's healthy, which is most important.
