Just pathetic. Nadal didn't deserve that match. The dropshot from David at 40-15 in the final game was just hilarious.

And people say 2004-2007 was best era of tennis? With choking mugs like this that's simply not possible. Embarrassing stuff.

Re: IW QF: Nadal def. Nalbandian 4-6 7-5 6-4

now i know why a lot of people respect nalbandian, now i also why a lot of people are also disappointed. what a freaking gifted player with poor mental ability. the ball striking was phenomenal but mental fortitude and shot selection at crunch times are very questionable...

A lot of players on tour would be better off never going for the dropshot.

You can't say the match was not epic when there are 6 threads 20 seconds after the match's over

30+ year old triceratop with zillion surgeries 2 points away from a win in straights, I am at peace.

Charlie Pasarell made me sick then. If you ever wondered what what was wrong with the ATP, him going crazy for Nadal summed it right up.

Re: IW QF: Nadal def. Nalbandian 4-6 7-5 6-4

Nalby 2 points from SS Nadal at 6-4 5-4* 30-30*

Nearly gets the double break back to level at 6-4 5-7 4-5* 40-15* with 2 BPs.

BPs up at 6-4 1-0* 40-30*

End of the road for Rafa if he plays like this. 2h45m to defeat number 74 ranked Nalbandia

So how is this a better era with current #2 barely beating that "choking mug" who is way past his prime?

Re: IW QF: Nadal def. Nalbandian 4-6 7-5 6-4

Epic chokefest. Rafa gets tight at *4-5 to lose the first set, Nalby double faults on BP at 5-5 in the second and then the comedy of errors at the end.
