True that. BTW, don't I owe you some Edberg tie break results from the 80s, Voo?

My friend and I often talked about how the commentators always pronounce Giraldo wrong, and that friend of mine is a radio director of a sports show and when he was talking about some results he also pronounced it with a "French manner", which of course he got laughed at for, but probably only by me. I guess it just gets into your ear after you hear it like that a lot of times.

I'm not sure you owe me anything, but I need around his 20 tie-breaks to know them all

I don't know what's with these people, they earn (I suppose) quite good money for umpiring, but pronouncing player's surnames incorrectly through many years is tasteless. Is there anyone to teach them?

Ivanišević was pronounced always wrong.

Is it really so difficult to realise that š is like English sh or German sch

Hate to say it, but I'm warming to Mugro over the last year or so. The blog didn't hurt, spilling all that inner torment.

He still has a punchable face, of course.

That's a great video Maybe they can learn how to pronounce certain surnames from the ATP page
For some time I thought the umpires/commentators were pronouncing Tomic in a wrong way, but only later I found out he wanted it to be pronounced "Tomik" and not in a Croatian way "Tomich"
