Viruserer isn't making it to the semis now that he's sick and will have to play 4 days in a row starting tuesday.

Looks like Pony will be having roasted pig instead.

I dont get why people are saying Federer will just show the white flag just like that. Least of all Federer fans. He has withdrawn from a tournament twice in the last what 14, 15(?) years. Roger has a lot of respect to this thing called commitment. I am certain Fed wouldnt have withdrawn from Doha earlier this year if AO wasnt right around the corner.
Thats not the case here and apparently, it may be a 24-48 hr thing. Even if it is not, unless it gets a lot worse, I have no doubt Roger will turn up next round. He has some faults, but one thing spotless about Roger Federer is his love and respect for the game and the fans. He doesnt quit just like that.

"In my opinion he's the best player ever. When you play tennis, playing Federer is kind of a dream because you can see he does everything you would love to do on the court" - Fabrice Santoro

What the hell is with Federer's movement these last few weeks?

The BIGGEST (borderline delusional) fan of players on General Message Board according to Forehander:
Grigor Dimitrov: FedererBulgaria
Borna Coric: Crowdmaker
Nick Krygios: Dan.
Tommy Haas: Leng Jai
Sebastien Grosjean: Myself
Novak Djokovic: Chiico (Leader of the No1e Cult)

Olderer has an excuse prepared already. When Nadal thrashes him 6-3 6-2 in SF again, his tards will claim it's "virus"

why is everyone so worried? When is the last time you ever saw Federer come all guns blazing and actually playing well in the first round?

I'm sure he'll be fine for the next round hope he recovers quick!

Re: IW R2: Federer def. Kudla 6-4 6-1

Would be a shame if he can't play, but if his condition gets worse, then there's not much sense to be on the court.

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Re: IW R2: Federer def. Kudla 6-4 6-1

Why does he not just retire and give some LL chanse to shine?

He is an old man (in tennis terms) playing with sickness on his worst surface with a horror draw, he should take a break, Nadal never plays in Paris so there Nadal actually schedules better than Federer.

2 master series Federer should ignore: Indian Wells and Miami.

Even Monte Carlo is better than these terrible tournaments, Monte Carlo atleast leads somewhere (RG). Ofcourse playing Estoril or some other small tournament would be even better.

There is a reason Federer is where he is and we are where we are.

When you are a little sick or a little injured, you play through the fucking pain and the sickness. You don't withdraw like a wuss like many in this thread are saying. Unless you are deathly ill on your deathbed, or are in so much pain you are barely able to get out of bed, then MAYBE you withdraw.

A little bug? A little niggle injury? Give me a fucking break, people.

Smart scheduling is also a reason why Federer is where he is, now playing 2 fast master 500 would be very smart if he was to not play atleast one of the incredibly slow Indian Wells and Miami 1000 tournaments. Playing through sickness on a tournament that leads nowhere and when he is 31 and has played through 2 tournaments in 3 weeks, that is not very smart.

I would rather have him play more claycourt tournaments than 2 before RG, actually that leads somewhere while these slow hardcourt tournaments are dead ends.

The general stomach virus in Indian Wells is a 24-48 hr thing according to the tournament spokesman,

but Federer said that his virus is not that one, it's a virus in his family, everybody has it, he's the least concerned.

useless old guy
