Re: Indian Wells R2: Garcia-Lopez def. Murray 6-4 6-2

Let`s face it.Murray is a slow starter in tournaments. He has struggled in his first match in every tournament so far.He was behind against Kukushkin at Brisbane, was a set down vs Harrison at AO and played a tight 3 setter vs Berrer in Dubai. At some stage it had to catch up with him and it resulted in a first round loss.If he just hopes to show up on court and it results in a W he is really wrong even if the opponent is lower ranked. He needs to be at least 70% of his level for a first match and he was below 50.

I mean Murray wasting break points in a final against Fed- that's not good, but here...
The first match usually one of the roughest, especially for Murray, but usually he guts it out. Here, he didn't start off terrible, but seemed to get worse as the match went on- too impatient. Oh well though, if he would have won it, everyone would have said it was a Mickey Mouse tournament and wake them when he wins a slam blah blah.
I hope Murray gets it together in Miami.

Yeah, but Murray and his team knows he's a slow starter and he's been here adjusting. Maybe they thought since his last match against GGL at Australia was so one-sided they underestimated him? I don't know.

True. In fact with him I suspect the pressure of living up to his words and not doing the same thing as last year made matters worse and he couldn't relax. He's an idiot

And I'm usually so Jinx weary. But nope, I was already talking about the match with Harrison.

Re: Indian Wells R2: Garcia-Lopez def. Murray 6-4 6-2

Needs to be said that GGL continually played excellent tennis on big points as well. He wouldn't give Murray cheap points, whereas Murray would be the one to get impatient during rallies and shank one. And if Murray didn't shank one, GGL would bust out a brilliant shot(very much like the very top players do so often after spectacular long rallies). It was really impressive to watch. If this were the only match you had ever seen GGL play, you'd be completely baffled at how he isn't a Top 10-15 player.
