Mac and Roddick have bad blood. Andy requested that he not be around when ESPN interviewed him in New York last year.

Stronga,Monfils,DelPo,Nalbandian,Berdych,Gulbis,Ha as and Djokovic are the players I support the most.

andy might be an asshole but he's also entertaining and in a tennis world where everyone is afraid to speak their minds he's needed.

Re: Roddick: "People want to get rid of me"

I don't think it's so much that people (the media) want to get rid of him, it's just that for them a "he's retiring" story is just more interesting and fun for them than a "he's declining but intends to keep playing for a while yet" story.

Re: Roddick: "People want to get rid of me"

I want Andy to go on and on. Hopefully he stays on for as long as Rogi is around. It'd be cool if that generation retired at around the same time...And quite frankly aside from the top 4 the rest of the top 30 is rubbish. I mean Verdasco's just climbed back up into the top 20 Fish is still top ten ...Tipsy, Isner, Mayer...I mean come on. Roddick's better than these guys

Re: Roddick: "People want to get rid of me"

I am sure Roddick is talking about Isner there, could also be applied to Florian Mayer but Isner feels like he is on a breakthrough year and is american.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

I don't want to get rid of Roddick.

I'd prefer he'd never retire at all.

You might not like his game, but the guy gives the best show on court between points and off court. Plus, he's the hot babe of the tour:

- the body is perfect
- the ass is beyond perfection: when you look at it, it's like looking God in the eyes, it is calming, soothing, it fills you with hope, it is a spiritual experience. Sure, it's not exactly like looking God into the eyes because I do not want to lick God's eyeballs, but I think you get the idea.
- the face radiates sexiness
- the lips are just so pretty and manly you just want to do unspeakable things with them, or things you won't be able to speak while you do them.
- if all that was not enough, the guy oozes natural lube the minute things get physical.

Anyway, if Fish can have a late surge, Roddick should be able to do it too. However, if he can't overcome the injuries, then there's not much sense wasting himself/could only make things worse for himself.

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

He is right I for one can't wait to see him retire. He will retire and probably reappear as a pundit and will cause us even more pain just like the annoyance that is Andrew Castle.

Re: Roddick: "People want to get rid of me"

Roddick has suffered with injuries which hastened his drop from the top 10. True, people are writing him off prematurely, especially on MTF. I'm sure he still has a couple of tournament wins in him, most likely at some of the American 250 tournaments, and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes runs to the quarters of a grand slam, most likely Wimbledon or the USO.

He does bring some of the hate on himself though, with a bad attitude to officials/the press/etc. However, he has always been good to his fans and one can't deny his commitment on the court. I think we'll miss Roddick when he is gone, but hopefully he continues to play to the best of his ability until he decides himself that it is time for him to retire.

I support Andy Murray!

Born to be the fourth best player in the world!

Statistics I maintain on MTF
Bagels Hall of Fame and Hall of Shame (Updated 01/01/2017)
Cumulative Weeks in Top 10 [Active Players] (Updated 20/11/2016)
Sets and Games Required To Win Each Grand Slam [Open Era]
Grand Slam Wooden Spoon Winners

Well put, mate.

Guy is a disgrace.
