I knew the old man won a couple tournaments because none of the top 3 competed by beating Tsonga a couple times but I thought he was defending points at all of those tournaments so he couldn't gain.

When Murray won Tokyo last year and overtook Fed it was such a huge media deal here in Britain and made the newspaper headlines that I thought he was still no. 3 >_>

If my instinct serves me correctly, Murray is taking a more intelligent approach to his game and nutrition....much like Nadal has begun to do later in his career. You have to go in cycles and peak for the Slams, Murray may finally be realizing that.
