If he loses them all then he won't be winning Monte Carlo either and is in deep trouble and if he fails to defend only 1-2 then it doesn't matter. 2000 point lead instead of 3000 - who cares?

I would like to see Monf make the QFs at IW to gear himself up for the biggest clay season of his career.

Stronga,Monfils,DelPo,Nalbandian,Berdych,Gulbis,Ha as and Djokovic are the players I support the most.

I doubt he will win 3 of those 4 masters.

Re: Indian Wells 2012 : Poolside Chats in the Desert

agreed. it is not happening.

murray and the clay warrior are tired of getting beat by him so they will exact some revenge this year. fed is in the mix also.

murray will do well on hard courts and the clay warrior will run over them all on clay.

If just being tired was enough... I bet Nadal was already sufficiently tired of losing to Nole before the last AO.

Re: Indian Wells 2012 : Poolside Chats in the Desert

affirmative general shanks. i beleive this event has massive implications for NoDjok. he has to win it and that is exactly why there is pressure now.

its his surface and he is the #1 player on the planet. and he is the defending champion. so he is supposed to win.

the problem: murray may be gaining on him. so if he gets murray he could again be denied a spot in the final.

and fed is better this year than most people realize. anything can happen in a best of 3 sets match. especially if you have a big serve, a forehand with deadly finishing power, and you are aso a threat at the net.

Re: Indian Wells 2012 : Poolside Chats in the Desert

So no one was terribly convincing in Dubai, so my form prediction doesn't really work, and with the slower surface being worst for fed, I could see a Murray-Djokovic final if they were on opposite ends of the draw. Nadal might be rusty after not playing since AO.

One thing is for sure, Fed is not going anywhere near the title.
