Create your Nightmare/Powderpuff Grand Slam Draw

Can you design the Draw From Hell for each Grand Slam? What about your Ultimate Cakewalk draw? Which players would you dread seeing in the first, second, third, fourth, QFs, SFs and F? Which players are so ineffectual, you might as well pencil in a W before you even step on court?

You can design draws specific to one player or just draws in general.

Re: Create your Nightmare/Powderpuff Grand Slam Draw

I'll start: Tsonga Roland Garros

Round 1: Nalbandian
Round 2: Davydenko
Round 3: Verdasco
Round 4: Simon
QF: Federer
SF Djokovic:
F: Nadal

Trolling is defined by Herring as baiting and luring others into pointless and time-consuming discussions.

4 criteria of trolls:

1. Appearance of outward sincerity.
2. Posts designed to incite anger or "flames"
3. Posts designed to waste everybody's time with useless argument
4. Desperate desire for attention, any attention at all

Recognize them, don't engage and put 'em on your ignore list where they belong. Feed a troll and you're just encouraging their attention-seeking.

Re: Create your Nightmare/Powderpuff Grand Slam Draw

Nightmare Draw for Djokovic at the French Open but I would watch all of these matches:

1R Ivo Karlovic
2R Milos Raonic
3R Andy Roddick
4R Juan Martin Del Potro
QF Tomas Berdych
SF Roger Federer
F Rafael Nadal

Cakewalk Draw for Djokovic at the French Open:

1R Ernest Gulbis
2R Robin Haase
3R Janko Tipsarevic
4R Richard Gasquet
QF Gael Monfils
SF Andy Murray
F Roger Federer

However, the ultimate cakewalk draw will involve Nadal, Federer and Murray all getting eliminated before the Semis plus some retirements and WOs. The Nightmare draw is only a nightmare if the first three opponents are serving lights out however 90% of the time they'll run off the rails.

Nightmare Draw for Rafael Nadal at the USO

1R David Nalbandian
2R Ivan Ljubicic
3R John Isner
4R Juan Martin Del Potro
QF Jo Wilfred Tsonga
SF Andy Murray
F Novak Djokovic

The first four have played Nadal really hard in the past so, in form, one might beat him or wear him out enough for a loss in the next round. The last two/three matches are pretty standard – can't really deviate much with the current rankings.

Re: Create your Nightmare/Powderpuff Grand Slam Draw

Good choices. I think Nadal's nightmare draw at the USO would involve Nalbandian and Davydenko in the first two rounds. Nalby first and then Davy second. QF, it depends on which Tsonga came to play. Given the current rankings he can't play Isner in the 3rd, he'd have to play him in the 4th round. It's also a choice between Del Po and Tsonga since Del Po got up to #10 in the rankings.

I think the worst opponents in the first 3rd rounds of a Slam would be Davydenko and Nalbandian with Ernests Gulbis and Ivo Karlovic as distant thirds. Gulbis, when his mind is in it, is one of the worst opponents in the first three rounds for any guy to meet on any surface.

Re: Create your Nightmare/Powderpuff Grand Slam Draw

love that playstation's begun to pop up in nightmare draws. when he plays like this, he's a real joy to watch. hopefully the injury isn't too serious.
as for roddick, honestly, doesn't his current form belong in the cakewalk category?
