Basel and Luxembourg (if he's playing). Old man has no chance anywhere else, although he might get another 3 and 2 thrashing from Mandy if he faces the mighty Scot in the finals of the 5th slam (Shanghai).

Cant see him playing all four. Bercy is going to be a miss, I'd wager. Id say Basel and WTF are his for the taking though.

Fedclown forum.

Murray will destroy him in Shanghai, again. Novak beat him in basel again. Tberd beats in Paris.

Wrong, Djokovic's not playing in Basel this year. Also, the problem with posting this in the Switzerland section in the Rogie forum is that not enough people will read and reply to it, it's better served here. Anyway he'd better play all 4 events. He's already had a SF W/O to Tsonga at Doha, never played Monte Carlo, withdrew from Toronto, how many more events is he not going to play? He really needs to play all 4 if he is to have ANY chance of finishing 2012 at #1.

1-2. Basel and/or WTF. I think he'll skip Paris.

8th day of July 2012: 7-time Wimbledon champion!

Once upon a time there was a myth about strong and weak eras. On this glorious day the clownery was eventually unmasked: 30 y.o. past-prime daddy Fed became #1 once again in the supposed strong "Spartan" era with his rivals at their peak.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Long live King Federer!

Nole is a lock for #1, he'll lead the race by 1800 points or so after the USO.

Best chance for another slam will be at Wimbledon.

this. feds chances at the slams:

1. wimby
2. uso
3. ao
4. rg

if nadal wouldn't be around, rg would be feds 2nd best chance...

I actually feel like the USO (along with RG) are the least likely for him to win again. The courts are just so unforgiving and he is not getting any younger. I agree about the rest though.

Re: Federer : The Mother Of All Quests : 20 Slams And 100 Titles.

federer isn't reaching either of those. too many players can beat the old legs these days

his slam count is out of reach and he owns almost every important record there is outside clay

old man should be satisfied with this, and instead invent a time machine, travel back to the 90s, and make it an even stronger era
