fed may surprise the world by making the final again depending on the draw.

he is a whole different animal at slams.

Final would hardly be surprise when you look at his performances this year. If he doesn't face Nadal in SF that is.

Re: Roger Federer : The Swiss King's Quest For 100 Titles

While I really think Nadal will win at RG, I want to know what you think of Fed's chances at Wimbledon, CD. Care to make a prediction?

Re: Roger Federer : The Swiss King's Quest For 100 Titles

fraudurer should make the SF in RG. any other result would be surprising for me.

If he gets nadal in the SF, i give him a 10% chance of advancing to the final.
If he gets djokovic in the SF, i give him a 50% chance.

so, all in all, provided he gets to the SF, i give him 0.5*0.1+0.5*0.5= 30% chance to get to the RG final

fed has stated in so many words that he has designs on wimbledon and the olympics.

i think he is going for the title at wimbledon.

and then look for him to make a solid run at the gold.

its grass. that is all anybody needs to know. his serve is working and his forehand of death is on the front burner again.

dont pay any attention to what happened in rome. i think he wanted out of there. he was tired of having had to play 10 of last 11 matches at night.

he was a little fatigued so he decided not to risk an injury.

Re: Roger Federer : The Swiss King's Quest For 100 Titles

Thanks, CD. I don't consider the loss in Rome to be bad. I was surprised he even went as far as he did considering his night schedule. RG is really a stretch and would be somewhat of a dream come true for me. I much prefer the French to Wimbledon nowadays.

That, unfortunately, seems a bit too optimistic.

Hmm...So you think Federer is favorite in Wimbledon?? and yes he was definetly "little off" in the Rome.

its a tough call obviously so we will just have to see how it plays out.

semis is a good possibility. and if he manages to play lights out tennis he may just end up in a final again.

where did i say he is the favorite?

i said he has designs on wimby and the olympic gold.

that means dont be surprised to see him make solid runs at both.

its grass and he is playing well again.

You are asking my opinion? Seriously Wimbledon is just too slow now, so i believe that it's no no. His best(and maybe last)chance is US Open.
