Re: Roger Federer : The Swiss Warrior King's Quest For 100 Titles

How about 71 first? Then maybe 75 - a do-able goal this year... 100 is a bit too much. He would probably be going against Djokovic's children...

Who would you think will win RG then?
Roger, of course. 5 RG finals. Only Borg and Nadal have more RG finals.

is that the only way you believe he can win another RG title. why cant you say that roger will find a way to deal with nadal one day on clay if you are a true fan?

no go buy me my bottle of wine and dont bother me for at least 30 more minutes.
How come Nadal has not found a way to beat Federer at the YEC? 4-0 for Federer there against Nadal.

Of course if Federer finally beats Nadal at RG this year, then he would be the undisputed GOAT. Even Sampras' fans would agree.

well i dont exactly see any nadal fans running around saying that nadal needs to win WTF or that he will win WTF.

he cant win that for one simple reason: he cant play well enough on indoor hard courts. to be brutally frank, he really cant play all that well on outdoor hard courts either. it takes a lot of work and he has to fight tooth and nail for his wins on hard courts.

for one thing his game is not diversified enough. and secondly the exact mechanics of his heavy strokes are such that he needs more time to execute his shots. he does not get that time on hard courts. his serve is weak and he returns like shit on hard courts. lot of that has to do with the mechanics of his strokes. it is just a lot of work for him on hard courts.

clay is a different story and you are the one running around thinking that fed can beat the clay warrior at RG. give it up. have you not seen enough there?

and now back on topic:

so where do you see this #74 happening? fed messed things up in miami.

#74 can come in either Madrid or Halle.

i think so. he has captured madrid before so he can surely do it again. halle is a lock.

he was flat today. could be a little fatigued. he should have skipped rotterdam. davis cup was also taxing so too much tennis activity as of late. he did not serve well like he usually does and he did not return well enough.

You cannot win it all CD, not at 24 much less at 30 but he's done awesomely since the USO last year so there's no motive to be concerned, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, that's the law of tennis

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

I don't know... Rotterdam was kind of the confidence launcher for all this.
Dubai would've been the better skip just based on the travel. Maybe if there hadn't been the DC: wasting energy and then having to deal with all that negativity after the losses.

I agree with Kat, specially because DC was bo5 in clay

Still, I'm pretty satisfied with Roger's season so far, he's done much better than 95% of the tour.
