Ryan was the better player in the first set but totally gifted the TB. Meltdown in the second set.
Disgusting result.

Expected, fast indoor courts, Milos had very high FS% and after 1st set TB it was over- Milos first servin in 2nd set and being set up it was matter of time that Ryan will mentally not hold it and loose his service

Ryan didn't play well at any point this week and today was the same. Only difference is Raonic doesn't allow you margin for error. Especially serving at 77%
Good thing most tournaments are outside and far slower than this

Re: San Jose SF Raonic def Harrision 7-6 6-2

Milos has become a better player since they played last year at Indian Wells. That was pretty obvious. He simply overpowered Harrison today (who at least played well in the first set before falling apart), showed better movement, and has become more consistent with his groundstrokes.

I would expect him to take the next match as well, especially if it's against Benneteau (a guy he simply outclassed last week). This is only the beginning of his march to the top 10 this year.

The rallies felt like slow motion after the Fed-Davydenko match.

Not a bad week for Ryan considering how awful he played this week. If it wasn't for his serve, he would probably lose to Rochus and Ginepri. He will have more time for preparation next week (unlike this week where he flown across 9 timezones from a claycourt to San Jose), so good luck Ryan.

regardless of who he has to face in the final, raonic will probably win it in straights. bennamug and istomin wont cut it im afraid.

Re: San Jose SF Raonic def Harrision 7-6 6-2

harrison competes well vs. milos because his natural court positioning (8 ft. behind the baseline) gives him time to set up for raonic’s deep, powerful groundstrokes. i'd like to see rao work on his touch and develop a well-disguised drop shot for guys like this.

Re: San Jose SF Raonic def Harrision 7-6 6-2

Disappointing from Harrison- mostly in the tie break- while 7-4 doesn't sound like a blow out, he went down0-4 immediately, and really lost the match through a couple careless errors right then.
