San Jose QF: Istomin survives choke to def. (2)Roddick 6-2, 6-4

Bad for the game when Istomin chokes and loses 6 games in a match like this.

San Jose QF : Istomin def. Roddick 6-2 6-4

Excellent from big Denis, didn't look like losing this match. Dominated from the baseline making the Duck look more average than usual from the back.

Good for the sport when Roddick loses.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Expected after Roddick's R1 showing, Isto did it in style though, conditions are perfect for him.

A good day when Troicki and Roddick win 7 games in 4 sets combined
Well done Istomin, vs Benneteau or Darcis should be a more competitive match

Re: San Jose QF : Istomin def. Roddick 6-2 6-4

That was a disgraceful performance, on par with Fernando's loss to Ramos earlier today

Andy, you have disappointed me once again. I can't believe I still struggle to hold on and support you in your matches after performances like these. Just retire already

Definitely hope he wins the crown.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Roddick is a genius at making his opponent looks like a GOAT.
His ground stroke is just beyond horrible, cant penetrate for shit and painful to watch these days

At the commentator who said Istomin makes Andy look ordinary.

Re: San Jose QF : Istomin def. Roddick 6-2 6-4

Roddick is the same age as Lopez and Benneteau and Ferrer- yet they are all at or near their peak rankings, and he's looks fat and half-way retired. He's surely made much more in prize money than they ever will, so I'm not sure why he's still out there- he doesn't seem committed.

Can't say he was wrong.

the way istomin just glides around the court so effortlessly reminds me of mecir. he also has perfect timing and technique off both wings and generates such easy power. the bh reminds me of mecir as well.
