hopefully volandri disposes of the dirt that is bellucci next round

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

David Nalbandian

Was it just to help Belucci, or do they have some reason to dislike Mayer? Because they seemed to be rooting for Chardy over him a little because of his whining about a serve being out.

Wow! The crowd went crazy, I haven't seen such a chauvinistic behavior by the crowd since a Boetsch-Becker match in Paris 1993. Completely different crowd than that at Costa Do Sauipe, honestly I don't know the which one is better

And the umpire was ridiculous with his repeating "Obrigado", and not doing anything more. He was so afraid of the crowd that gave Mayer first serve at 40-30 in the 8th game instead of the point, thankfully Mayer won the point anyway.

Disgusting Brazilian crowd and never in doubt Bellucci can win matches only in this kind of atmosphere. I mean, yes Leo is a headcase but it's impossible to keep your head cool in situations like this. Also lol at the Brazilians saying they're proud to be Brazilians after this

Costa do Sauipe had the sleepiest crowd on the entire tour. Nottingham could maybe have competed.

Chair umpire was useless, what's his name?

Mayer is a great player, for me he is a Top 50

But the Brazilian Fans love tennis and love good players from Brazil.

They helped greatly Nalbandian during the tournament but was not sufficient.

Don't be using selective memory. This stuff has happened with Gonzo playing in Chile, happens at Acapulco and yes in Buenos Aires as well.

Yes, Layhani could have done more, but Mayer winning is the best way to shut any hostile crowd. Not like hostile crowds haven't happened in Brazil before. It's part of the game in the Latin American events and has to be dealt with.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I mean, I love Brazil and Brazilians and they have a gazillion reasons to be proud of their country, but the disgusting behavior of the crowd today, and winning based on cheating and not on skills, are not good reasons.

They did abuse Calleri when he played Guga in Costa da Sauipe and Layhani was the umpire.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Bellucci, after match, on court: "If was not you [croud], I would not have won today."

For SporTV: "It was a very special day for me. I had never played in front of so many people cheering for me. I get a lot of criticism that I am a guy who's head down too fast and that I don't fight enough during the points. It was good to respond the critics."

It's 00:47 AM in Sao Paulo now.

And the umpire indeed is a big pussy, deserves to be downgraded to be a linesman at futures tournaments.
