Roger wants to take one last shot for #1 in 2012, so he's gotta get points everywhere.

Should win this, barring injury or withdrawl.

Re: WWW ATP 500: Rotterdam

Why is this thread not getting any action after the draw has come out?

http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2012/407/mds.pdf

I like the winner of the Pony/Berdych semifinal to take the whole thing. Not impressed with Federror in DC this weekend. He might not even show up if the tie goes to 5 full rubbers.

Fed goes out early after getting his ass beat by Isner in Davis cup. Got to go with Berdy on this one.

This. Apart from him getting busy with what seems to be some kind of a 'farewell tour' this year, appearing at tournaments where he didn't bother to show up for quite a couple of years.
His commitment to play the South American tour in the late fall/winter this year also points in that direction.

Should, yeah. But DelPotro and Berdych, among others, might well be able to do him some damage, if not more than that.

Yep, it's actually official that Fed is retiring after this year.

Nope, not at all.
But he apparently is preparing for that, might well be depending on how he manages to do at the upcoming Olympics this year.

Re: WWW ATP 500: Rotterdam

Why is Federer playing 500 event at this time? Is he going also play Dubai? if so than really weird from him , is he so desperate to get points or what.. but if Rotterdam is still fast like last year than Berdych is going to win this.

Re: WWW ATP 500: Rotterdam

Well Fed lucked out not getting Del Po on his side so he should really be a lock for the final at least (could Dolgo spring a surprise? I doubt it on indoor HC.) But Del Po/Berdych in the final could do damage - Berdych with his record in recent years over Fed, & his form so far this year, would have a great shot actually...

Is Novak the only top 4 player in Dubai then? Guess he'll be defending that easily then... Fed would have been the underdog but still had a shot at least.

Never underestimate Federer's ability to lose to anyone at any given time.

Fed and Muzza are on the entry list as well. No telling who will actually turn up, of course.
