A Free Lesson With: Novak Djokovic

This was done a few years ago, and I think he does a very good job of instructing here.

The John McEnroe imitation at the end icings the cake.

Don't know why people hated the impressions. I liked them. Good video. Funny to see him talk about volleying because he only comes to the net to shake hands at the end .

I think the most important point we can gather from this video is that Nole was too much of a pussy to play with a single handed backhand.

I doubt he would be able to defeat Nadal with a single handed backhand. Nadal eats single handers for breakfast. I prefer the single hander myself. It is a beautiful shot.

Novak is really intelligent, he explained himself really well. I know it's tennis language and all, but he sounded confident without having to really stop and think about what he was saying.

Excellent video, especially for beginners and young kids who are just learning the sport now.

It's good they shot this video when he was #4 in the world in 2007, otherwise nowadays instead of an 8-minute video, you'd just get 8 seconds of Novak saying 'I'll have to keep this a secret' like when he's asked for specifics on his training regime .

Well, knowing what to do is one thing, executing another...

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Re: A Free Lesson With: Novak Djokovic

You gotta smile when he says he changed from the one hander to the two hander because he was getting tired of getting bullied around by players hitting to his backhand. How things have changed ... from getting frustrated by people playing to his backhand now he is frustrating players that make a living of exploring other player's backhand.

He is really one clever guy. This is a good video. Nadal has a similar, but more extensive, "How to play" tennis video series:
