I didn't expect Gilles to have that much trouble!

He's really lucky Rufin checked out in the 3rd because if he didn't he would have lost.

Rufin ruined everything he did well with those 2 games at *1-0 and *2-1 in the 3d
some DFs at key moments too

still, he has a nice game to watch

Re: Open Sud de France Simon defeated Rufin 7-6, 6-7, and 6-2

simon tried to put in the least possible effort to win this in the 1st 2 sets and it cost him. he worked much harder in the 3rd set, had he played the whole match with that effort level he would have won in 2 fairly easy sets.

What happened after USO for Simon? He's slumped through the hard court season since, which is traditionally his best surface.

At the beggining he talked about changing his game plan, + agression to his groundstrokes. It seemd that it was working, as he played a good match against Top Murray in Bangkok, but after then he slumped through. In the A.O he was with a neck injury. Also confidence is a key factor on his game

All these players and having injuries so much! I must have missed at least one injury of Simon's because I remember him as playing much better in the past.

Bad for the game when Simon is playing terrible, and still gets through deep in a tournament.

Seriously, what happened to him? He was screaming and shouting a lot during the match, I never imagined him to be the aggressive guy.
