Re: Do you consider Novak Djokovic as a legend in the game?

Maybe he'll become one in his own right, but right now he's mostly known for his achievements in the Fedal era, rather than setting his own era. It may certainly be on it's way though.

Re: Do you consider Novak Djokovic as a legend in the game?

3 slams in a row = automatic legend, IMO...especially the manner in which he did it. Gutsy, ballsy, fiery performances in all slams.

He's not a SLAM legend per se, but definitely a TENNIS legend.

my own personal standard for 'legend' is 7 slams, surely he will make it.

No, he's not even close to being considered "a legend".

Bitter as usual. Don't you have any sugar there in Scotland?

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

He's a legend.

Some of us know it, some of us are yet to realize it, but he's a legend.

it depends on whether you define 'legend' as the overall persona of a player or their overall achievements. both can be very different, for instance kournikova is a legend of womens tennis if we talk about transcending the sport, but obviously not one on court.

i always feel mcenroe was hugely helped to reach 'legend' status by his persona where his results lacked.

5 slams, around #26 of all time, short of Becker, Edberg, and Wilander, who he could all pass with a win at RG.

Let me ask you something. Am I going to be considered "bitter as usual" until I start licking Djokovic's balls?

You can't really call me bitter for stating the obvious. He has 5 slams, big deal. Lendl, Borg, Sampras, Federer and co. have 8-16 slams. Notice the BIG difference there? Djokovic has a long way to go before he can be called a legend.
