Nole wasn't acting like he was on the brink of death at the start of the 2nd set?

Murray has improved but Djoker's level has gone down slightly. Djoker serves well at times then his serve goes for like a whole set.

What a fantastic match! Congratulations to both players. This is what I was hoping for in last year's final, albeit I would prefer that Andy would win. Still, a great effort from Andy. He left it all out there on the court, and you can't ask for more than that.

Have to commend Murray for the fight back at the end, that is some progress. However, failing to pull away in the third set, that drive volley at the beginning of the fourth and the following tank and that netted BH on his final break point Should have got this one done.

Djokovic, well who knows what is going on there? Will certainly be fine for the final, Rafa can't buy any of his nonsense.

Tell you what though if I was Andy at Wimbledon I'd be DESPERATE to get Nole in my half of the draw after seeing that.

Re: AO SF: Djokovic outmarathons Murray 6-3 3-6 6-7(4) 6-1 7-5

It was a great match, especially the last set was very high quality level. Very entertaining.

I like Djokovic, but god his antics were so disgusting in the third. I know he had true problems to breath but when you see his body langage in the last two sets, I think he's exaggerating his pain when he is in trouble and has no solutions.

I was very impressed once again with the Djoker's ability to fight. I mean, how many players after the third set would have react as he did ? How many players in the last set, when Murray producted outstanding tennis to came back from 2-5 to 5-5 and got 3 Bps would have save them the way Novak did ? This is just brillant.
I was also very impressed with Murray's heart. He didn't want to give up. Congrats to him for that.

For the game, I am disappointing by the way Novak did play in the 3 first sets. Waaaaaaay too passive. Murray was doing everything. More winners from Murray than from him is quite shoking for me.

Anyway, I never thought before this AO Nadal would stand a chance, now he's my favorite for the final. And I hope he'll win.

Novak was awful in 2nd and 3rd set, couldn't serve at all. Nowdays, he's mentally the best player for sure. Showed it at 5:5 15-40 in 5th set.

Djokovic is just not playing as well as last year. I was expecting him to be better this year, but he is not. His serve is very average, his cross court backhand is not as deep as it used to be.

He will need to step it up a notch if he wants to beat Nadal!

I don't like Nadal.

Great prediction by the way. Straight sets indeed. Might want to reconsider the "ofTennis" part of your name.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Here's a tip. Don't regret nothin'. You ain't got the time. Before you know it, you'll be 60 something years old giving free advice to some cheapskate runt... Then going home and regretting it.

Really? So one of the world's supremely fit athletes cannot recover with two days rest? I kind of remember him doing ok after being pushed to the brink in the US Open semi-final by Federer.

I think people read far too much into the effects of a tough match. All these guys have amazing powers of recovery and this is what they do. Djokovic will be fine for Sunday.

Sad ending. Probably would have been a good match with a faster surface and balls, but all the errors ruins it for me.

Tennis has just gotten way too physical.
