Tomic painful to watch

Maybe this kid is efficient but the way he plays - continental forehand grip, shaky movement, too few winners, too much waiting for errors, makes him really unattractive to be watched. I begin to worry when he starts winning too much, I will have to switch off TV too quickly...

Re: Tomic painful to watch

He is young; hopefully he can learn some aggressiveness when it counts. But that's tennis these days according to MTF- the pusher generation. I blame the courts.
But then again that's why I enjoy watching the player in your avatar

Re: Tomic painful to watch

Since last AO, I'm trying to copy his forehand whenever I play tennis. It's a fantastic shot in my opinion. Backhand looks good. He has great slice. Many people won't like his style though. But I guess more people like it than those who don't.

Not a fan of his game either, it's ugly. That along with his personality and I think it's fair to say I'm not a fan and I'll never be a fan.

It doesn't help that he's such an arrogant prick.

ASI Director-General Gautam Sengupta said the list of India's treasures held abroad was "too long to handle" and there was a need for a "diplomatic and legal campaign" for their restitution from institutions, including the British Museum, the Royal Collection and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

Re: Tomic painful to watch

I couldn't disagree more. I've been very intrigued by his game since I saw him match up against Djokovic in last year's Wimbledon QF (great match). Maybe one day I will get bored of it, but I am not so sure. He possesses fantastic natural timing and a smoothness reminiscent of Mecir. Not to the same extent and not the same natural talent, but he plays about as much like Mecir as a big tall guy in 2012 can play. His style of play is admirably efficient and he can generate so much pace with just a simple flick of the wrist because his timing is so good.

Keep improving, Bernard.

Djokovic // Del Potro // Paire // Thiem // M. Zverev // Youzhny
Coric // Khachanov // Donaldson // A. Zverev // Bublik
Ferrero // Rafter
