Federer Streak 2011-2012: Will it end at Australian Open?

Last poll for this subject in this thread was disrupted by Mr. Federer's Doha withdrawal.
This time predict when or if his streak ends during the Australian Open now that we know the draw.
Choice names are mostly by ranking, but one can ignore the names and just pick the numbers.

Respectfully,

Re: Federer Streak 2011-2012: Will it end at Australian Open?

He's involved in Murray 2012 so the end of his streak is natural.

Should make the Final.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Here's a tip. Don't regret nothin'. You ain't got the time. Before you know it, you'll be 60 something years old giving free advice to some cheapskate runt... Then going home and regretting it.

Depends how the back is.

Can't really see him getting past the QF's if he serves with a 175 kmph average first serve speed.
Hope all is well, and then he should get to the SF and probably F.

It will all depend on the quality of Fed's 1st serve.
If it's off, for whatever reason (and please spare me the 'injured'-excuses), he'll have a bloddy hard job to face, if it does indeed works... woe to all of his opponents.

Re: Federer Streak 2011-2012: Will it end at Australian Open?

I really depends on this injury and how it will affect his game, mentally and physically so it's tough to call.

As for the injury excuse cited above, how any Nadal fan is not embarrassed to keep talking about sparing excuses for injuries is beyond me. But then again I support a fair and honest guy like Fed so what do I know.

Regarding the serve, I think even if there isn't a persistent injury/niggle (we won't hear even if there is since he's not the cheat), I think Fed's game might be more affected by the confidence he has in his back. Is he willing to risk and go all out with the serve. He did mention 'playing with the breaks on' also talked about being able to go full out in his last training session before Monday so I hope all is well.

SF vs Berdych can easy be a defeat.
But it also could be a win... Final vs Tsonga is probably a win. If he didn't fall in the SF he'll win the tourny.

but if somehow federer manages to avoid/beat pocahontas in the semis, he's going all the way. djokovic would crack as easily as a tooth pick in a GS final v. federer.

Re: Federer Streak 2011-2012: Will it end at Australian Open?

For some reason I see a semi-final stumble

The A++ Tier: Soderling | Raonic | Hewitt | Dolgopolov | Djokovic | Gasquet | Mahut
The A+ Tier: Murray | Kohlschreiber | Nishikori | Tsonga | Goffin | Berdych | Baghdatis | Karlovic | Baker
The A Tier: Del Potro | Youzhny | Ferrer | Tursunov | Malisse | Saville

Semi Final. I think it's going to be very hard for him to win 3 sets from Rafa.

It ended after he withdrew from Doha as far as I'm concerned.
